COFFEE TALK WITH WALNUT CREEK VILLAGE

If a Coffee Klatch is your cup of tea, we hope you'll join us at our first Morning Coffee Talk event for Walnut Creek Village. Whether you're interested in membership, volunteering or just want to gather information, join us to learn more about what WC Village membership will offer from service(s) to social opportunities for seniors in our community! Come share a cup of joe with us on the last Wednesday of March.

Where: Buttercup Grill & Bar, 600 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek

Parking: There is ample free customer parking in the Buttercup lot, but be careful not to park in the courthouse spaces or you could receive a ticket.

MARCH 23 LUNCH ‘N’ LEARN: IPADS AND IPHONES FOR SENIORS

Join us for the March 23 Lunch ‘N’ Learn to hear from Sharon Beck, founder of Mac-Senior.

Sharon
is dedicated to helping seniors get the most out of their iPads, iPhones and Macs, so they can stay in touch with their families through FaceTime and with the world at large through the internet. Seating is limited to 30 people, so reserve now before this fills up!

Lunch is generously provided by Atria Walnut Creek

Launching Spring 2017


 
Walnut Creek Village is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.  Volunteers provide all of the effort needed to help the seniors (members) we serve. We provide what our members need to stay safe and comfortable in their homes.

Walnut Creek Village is part of nationwide network of like-minded communities helping their members remain in their homes, with assistance from friends, volunteers and preferred providers. Currently there are 200 open villages with 150 more in development, like us.
Walnut Creek Village is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives, Tax ID# 94-32555070 .

Contributions to the Village are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permissible by law. The Walnut Creek Village is solely funded by membership fees, grants, and donations.

 Volunteers Needed 

Can you help? (Most commitments are 2 hours):
• Drivers – to provide transportation, run errands
• Light housekeeping
• Handy persons  
• Personal Finance helpers (bill paying/balancing checkbooks)  
•Computer Support: Windows & Mac

•WCV clerical/office volunteers

Share your skills and talents with local seniors by volunteering with us.
